MOSCATI Project

The medical communicator is designed to provide the best possible care for patients in the hospital ward and to increase their comfort. The system will be a complementary component of HIS software currently use in hospitals. The basic research challenge will be to develop an adaptive/self-learning algorithm that optimizes the use of hospital personnel resources hierarchically, the needs reported by patients and personnel, and dynamically changing tasks assigned to them on an ongoing basis in order to resolve the problem as quickly as possible by selecting available personnel appropriate to the situation. Next, the work will include the development of a test stand enabling the algorithm to be tested under laboratory conditions. The result of the R&D work will be a prototype system that will be tested under operational conditions.
